Another Great Day!!!!

Well I decided last week was so successful that I would take another adventure somewhere!!!!  I had been told that the Berkeley Botanic Garden was pretty and thought I would go there... I asked for directions and google mapped it... plus this week I received a package in the mail with stuff from home!!!!  One of the items in there was a GPS unit and I used that to get to the gardens... it worked great!!!

I was a little nervous to start another trip alone... but I was still going to do it!!!

I was set... I had maps, juice, my handy dandy GPS and got gas on my way out!!!!!

The traffic was great... hardly any other cars on the road!!!!

I finally got there and found parking and was so excited I made it!!!!

Everything was so beautiful... I dont really have much to say about it all but look at the pictures and you will get a little taste of what I was walking through for 3 hours!!!!  I didnt even get to see all of it... It was too much for one day...

Ok this was funny.... its says Mormon tea... You cant really tell because the picture is not good enough but it sure made me laugh at the time :)

 

This was a cool display of things that were not here before that had to be invented or brought to the new world from other places..

One of the things that was brought were potatoes.... this made me laugh and miss Idaho a little :)

This is a plant that when it gets touched it will retract and not look like it has many leaves... its a survival mechanism...  This picture is of it before I touched it...

I want a bench like this someday!!!!!

Then I got to the store part and there were so many cool plants I bought a couple... I just love my collection sooo much!!!!

After I was done there Suzanne had given me an address and told me to check out this high end nursery.... I found it and it was amazing!!!!  And way big... it just kept going and going and going... I kept finding more places for plants and it was just incredible!!!!!

I was pretty surprised by how organized everything was too.... I mean with so much plant material you would think it would get messed up but they had everything put where it should!!!!

After getting another plant there I started home!!!!  Once again not bad traffic once I was on the bridge so that made me happy!!!!

I was happy to be getting home... It was another great day and I didnt ever got too lost!!!!!  :) :) :)

I covered a nice bit of ground again and will be waiting to see where next Saturday takes me!!!!!
